Ishasha is the Southern tip of Queen Elisabeth National Park. It flanks the Ishasha River which is also the boarder the Democration Republic of Congo. There is a camp site just at the River - Ishasha River camp. The river is full of hippos. Buffalo, kobs and topi are common. ANd this is where you cansee the famous tree climbing lions.

The distance to Ishasha River Camp for the main road is 84 km. With an early start you can make a return trip to Ishasha from Mweya in one day (around 200 km driving). Ishasha sector is famously known for its Tree climbling lions which is a unique attraction and is one of the highlights of visiting this park. At the southern sector of the park Lions can be seen hanging on large fig trees while Uganda Kob graze in the Ishasha plains.
